Charlie Sheen Reveals Liposuction Decision After Weight Comment
Charlie Sheen has disclosed that he underwent liposuction following a comment about his weight made by a sex worker during his stay in Toronto. This revelation comes from his recent autobiography, *The Book of Sheen*.
The incident occurred in 2000 while filming *Rated X*, where Sheen starred alongside his brother, Emilio Estevez, portraying the Mitchell brothers, notable figures in the adult film industry. In the book, Sheen recounts that after filming wrapped, he sought companionship through a Canadian escort service. He described calling a “beautiful brunette” and having the encounter in his hotel room.
After their intimate meeting, while they were smoking, the young woman, whom he refers to as his “instant Canadian girlfriend,” touched his abdomen and jokingly asked, “What do you say, chubby? Ready for round two?”
Sheen revealed that he had gained weight after quitting stimulants, which led him to consult a “lipo doctor.” He expressed the significant impact of the woman’s comment, stating, “You had 10,000 nicknames to choose from and you picked that one.” He humorously added, “I wanted to blow my brains out. It’s amazing where one word can take you.”
Despite his initial reaction, Sheen accepted the challenge, joking that he tried not to “crush her in the process.” About a week later, back in Los Angeles, he decided to visit a liposuction specialist. He explained that gaining weight after stopping substance use is common, particularly if stimulants were the drug of choice. “I’d rather be a little soft and alive than gaunt and dead,” he noted.
In recent interviews, Sheen has also discussed his sexual experiences with men, particularly in the context of his documentary for Netflix, *aka Charlie Sheen*. He described discussing these experiences as liberating, emphasizing that it was not a shocking revelation but rather a part of his life.
Sheen acknowledged that many of these encounters occurred during a chaotic period marked by crack cocaine use. He reflected on the confusion he felt during that time, ultimately accepting his experiences with a sense of humor.
The actor also revealed that he was diagnosed with HIV during his years of heavy drug use, a diagnosis he made public in 2015. He had known about his condition for four years before disclosing it and admitted to paying significant sums to individuals who attempted to blackmail him with that information. Initially, he believed his symptoms were related to a brain tumor, but after medical tests, he received the definitive diagnosis, which he described as a turning point in his life.
Sheen emphasized that his health status never posed a risk to others, firmly stating, “Impossible,” when asked if he had transmitted the virus.
In his memoir, Sheen shares insights about his struggles with alcohol and cocaine, as well as reflections on his personal life, detailing the ups and downs that have shaped both his professional and private journey.
