The surgeon dismissed the hypothesis of a suicide by Baby Demoni due to the physical state of the young influencer following surgery.
The death of influencer Alejandra Esquín, known on social media as Baby Demoni, has sparked an outpouring of farewell messages on social media, where followers and colleagues from the urban genre, in which Esquín excelled, mourn her loss.
The news of her death, initially announced by fellow influencer Yina Calderón, has deeply impacted the urban entertainment world and the digital community that closely followed her career. On October 14, 2025, Baby Demoni was found unconscious in front of her apartment in the Casa Blanca neighborhood of Kennedy, in southern Bogotá.
After being rushed to Clínica Roma, doctors reported that the 28-year-old exhibited severe oxygen deprivation in the brain. On October 15, one day after her discovery, her death was confirmed at the medical facility.
Musician Samor One, who was Baby Demoni’s partner, claimed that the young influencer self-harmed following a tense argument. However, family and friends have questioned this version of events. Alexis Parra, one of the artist’s closest friends, stated that she had experienced episodes of violence and isolation.
The death of Baby Demoni has significantly affected the urban entertainment world and the digital community that followed her musical career closely.
Adding to the doubts surrounding her death is the fact that Baby Demoni underwent cosmetic surgery just eight days before her passing. Surgeon Ricardo Urazán, who performed the procedure, stated that due to the influencer’s physical condition, she would not have had the strength to take her own life.
Urazán’s assertion was prompted by testimony from a close friend of the influencer known as ChinchePB, who shared details about the aesthetic procedure on TikTok. During a live broadcast, he claimed that the influencer had undergone liposuction shortly before her death and faced serious complications during the surgery.
According to ChinchePB, Baby Demoni experienced two cardiac arrests during the surgical process. He explained that after the operation, the pain pump intended to manage post-operative discomfort was not functioning properly, causing the patient to suffer constantly.
Surgeon Ricardo Urazán elaborated that it would be impossible for the influencer to have taken her own life after the cosmetic surgery. He explained that the procedure involved placing a prosthesis behind the muscle, which would significantly limit her mobility for at least fifteen days.
In his assessment, Urazán emphasized the difficulty the influencer would have had in moving her limbs normally: “From my scientific opinion, it is very complicated for her to have lifted her arms to tie something. I don’t see how it is possible. I don’t know if she was strong enough to have done it, but I don’t believe so. The pain would not have allowed it,” he stated.
